By Dr. Michael Sprague
Our Capitol Commission Chaplain in Tennessee alerted me to this tremendous need last night. “Please pray for the 7 Nashville families who have lost loved ones today. And pray especially for the Pastor and his wife of the church and school who lost their own daughter. God have mercy.”
“This family needs grace like none other right now. They are an mainstay in Nashville… but they have the incredible weight of being the Pastor’s of the very church where this tragedy occurred. They need so many prayers….” “You never know the weight a pastor… I cannot fathom the pain…”
Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings. (Psalm 61:1-4)

Oh my goodness!! I didn’t know one of the children was the pastor’s daughter. I really haven’t had time to listen to a lot of the news about the tragedy. I love the psalms you chose 🫶🏾🥰🙏🏾
Is that the pastor and his family in the picture?
Yes, that’s the pastor & his family. The little girl, who is 9 now, is the precious baby we all lost. I lost a son many years ago. It was traumatic and I know what this family is going through. I cannot stop crying! May God send his angels to comfort them as only He can!
I know. I just read his statement. My God ! His only daughter!! 😢
Thanks for sharing Andy. I will read more about it after work.
We will certainly be praying for these families including the Pastor and his wife.
Amen!
Praying through many tears for each family who lost those precious children. There are no adequate words but our gracious and compassionate Father knows the pain and will comfort them only as He can.
Thank you for your prayers Mama!
I lead a women’s Bible study at my home and we prayed last night for those families (and cried).
May the Good Lord, help them find peace, in this most difficult time. May he give them wisdom, as they struggle to find Hope, in the midst of this Darkness. May God, walk alongside them, as they mourn, their loss, and may they find, Hope, while their heats are broken.
Amen!
