By Charlie Cameron
There is a kind of humility about Peter’s words. It’s a false humility. It’s a proud humility. Peter appears to be humble before the holiness of our Lord Jesus, yet he is too proud to accept the love of Jesus. Do you understand who Jesus is, and why he came?
Oh Peter, you teach me so much. Is it because I see myself in your story? Probably!
Thanks, My Life in Our Father’s World, for your comment. Peter’s story is a story of tragedy and triumph. The tragic part of Peter’s story comes from what he was in himself. The triumph in Peter’s story comes from what, by the grace of God, he became. When we think about how Peter’s story relates to ourselves, there are two things we must never forget. First, we must never forget that we are sinners, who, often, fail our Lord. Second, we must always remember that the grace of God is greater than our sin. However much, we fail the Lord, He’ll never fail us. Often, we fail Him. Always, He loves us. Praise the Lord, and God bless you.
Exactly
I love the phrase, “His holiness keeps us from taking His love for granted. His love keeps us from being overwhelmed by His holiness.” By any chance is this Charles Cameron related to one of “The Singing Cameron Family”? Blessings today!
Good Morniing Pete! I am not sure if Charlie is from the Cameron Family Singers or not. I will have to ask him. He is from Scotland. I will let you know. That prhase is beautiful! I appreciate you brother. I hope y’all are doing well after Ian down there.
We are fine here in the Tampa area. It was supposed to hit us but veered into the coast down at Fort Meyers. Prayers and donations to Metropolitan Ministries, Convoy of Hope or Samaritan’s Purse are things that people can do. Also giving blood is vital if you qualify.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Pete, for your appreciative and encouraging comment. I’m not related to the Cameron Family Singers. God bless you.
Andy, I’ve just posted a reply to Pastor Pete. Just as I was posting it, I noticed that I had made a spelling mistake: coimment should be comment. I can’t correct it from my end. Can you correct it for me and delete this request for it to be corrected?
Andy, can you delete my comment of October 5 at 7:07 am requesting its deletion? Thanks.
I believe true humility, is basically to obey God… If we obey God, then we are humble…
Thanks, Exploration Blog, for your comment. God bless you.
A very good point! thanks for reminding us! God Bless!
Thanks, Andy, for your words of appreciation and encouragement. God bless you.
Andy, may glory and thanks be to our Lord Jesus Christ for all the good points he is giving us!
