I love Packer’s well-reasoned and concise response. It is so often falsely bandied about that standing with Jesus on the authority of His word is somehow divisive and unloving. There is nothing more unloving than the position of those who disregard the value of the blood of Jesus Christ to atone for our sins. Thise sins that brought about His death in our place remain real, no matter what is currently socially acceptable.
