There are no church youth groups that are currently being led by grandfathers. Why is that? For many years now the church has segregated its services and programs by age. Is this a mistake?

I think the issue cuts both ways. First, the church is comfortable with age segregation. Even our small groups are segregated by age and no thought is given that maybe this misses the point of generations contributing to one another. One the other hand, us old guys are also not so comfortable around the strange young crowd that seem more interested in their cell phones than in the people around them. Maybe we are a part of the problem because we have pulled back, pointed fingers and headed out to the restaurant for lunch with our buddies. Lots to think about.
Good points to think about Pete. Titus teaches us to teach the younger men. Any ideas on how we can do that if we are not involved? Thanks for your honest thoughts!
