WordPress Family Blogging Award

WordPressFamilyAward_2

I have turned down several awards by such beautiful people like you in the past year. I appreciate those who have nominated me and I hope you know that I was thrilled by your nomination but had already decided that I would keep an Award Free Blog this first full year of blogging. I love you my friends and I appreciate all who nominated me this past year.

When John at http://theartisticchristian.wordpress.com sent me this nomination for the WordPress Family Award this morning I was thrilled and disappointed at the same time. Thrilled at the nomination and disappointed that I would, again, not accept this honor. However, after much thought, I have decided that I would accept this award because it is about you, my family here on WordPress. All of you have been so good to me. I do not post often but when I do I am overwhelmed with blessings from each of you.

It is so hard to choose 15 blogs out of so many wonderful blogs on WordPress. Regardless of whether you are listed below I want you to know that I am blessed beyond measure that you are a part of my family here on Word Press. You have been a joy and a pleasure to follow you, and to receive your comments this year. I pray that you will continue to inspire all of us with the words, and talent, God gives you in 2015.

Award Description

As for the award itself, this was designed as a way to express your gratitude to those who not only follow your blog, but have become like family.   Here is the description given by Shaun, the creator of the award:

“This is an award for everyone who is part of the ‘Word Press Family.’ I start this award on the basis that the WordPress family has taken me in, and showed me love and a caring side only WordPress can. The way people take a second to be nice, to answer a question and not make things a competition amazes me here. I know I have been given many awards, but I wanted to leave own my legacy on here by creating my own award, as many have done before. This represents ‘Family’ we never meet, but are there for us as family. It is my honor to start this award.”

Rules for the Award

  1. Display the award logo on your blog.
  2. Link back to the person who nominated you.
  3. Nominate 10-15 others you see as having an impact on your WordPress experience.
  4. Let your 10-15 family members know you have awarded them.
  5. That is it. Just please pick 10 people that have taken you as a friend, and spread the love.

 Nominated Blogs

The following blogs have not only clicked the “Follow” button, but have supported me by taking time to leave thoughtful comments. If you’re looking for readers who will really engage with your blog, then you may want to give these a glance! Note: there are many blogs that are not listed who have been given this award before. I want to give this blessing to those who have not received it. I so wish I could pass it on to all of you!

  1. Andy… I’m so glad you decided to go ahead and accept this award! I also thought it was a really beautiful way to thank those who’ve supported us over the months… I’m looking forward to checking out the blogs you’ve suggested. Have a blessed day!

  2. Aw Andy, you may not post as often as some bloggers but when you do, your writing is so heartfelt and wonderful. You bless the blogosphere because your stories are so grounded in faith. You so deserve this award as a wonderful part of the WordPress ‘Family.’ Thank you for nominating my blog; it’s been a joy to be one of your followers. Here’s wishing you a most blessed New Year!

  3. Thank you, Andy. I’m honored to be included for this WordPress Family Blogging Award. It means a lot to be listed among so many fellow inspirational bloggers.

I can understand when you say you went ‘award free’ on your site. I did the same earlier this year as I haven’t posted as often as others. Therefore, would you please pass my nomination along to another one of your followers who has not received this award before?

I can’t thank you enough for thinking of me for this. From the bottom of my heart, I truly appreciate it.

See you in the new year, my friend. Happy 2015! God bless you and yours.

  4. Andy, I left you a comment on Petals but I will here as well. I normally do not accept awards due to the time involved in them. I am putting the link to this post on my award page, and I would also like to put the emblem on my sidebar with a note as to who gave this award to me. IF that is OK, let me know. If not and I really have to follow the rules in order to display the emblem, I will just put your link on my awards page. Bless you, Andy, for honoring me with this award. Thank you from the bottom of my Heart. Love, Amy

  5. Coming from you, this nomination is extra special, Andy. Your blog posts always touch my heart and strengthen my faith in mankind. Although I don’t participate in awards due to time restrictions, it’s nice to know someone appreciates my blog as much as I do theirs. Wishing you and your family peace and joy in the upcoming year.

  6. Thanks, Andy, for liking so many of my posts. May God bless you and your family in 2015 – and may your words continue to bring blessing to many.

    • Thanks Charlie! You will never know how much your post inspire me. I appreciate you. I pray you will have a prosperous New Year. blessings my friend.

  7. Dear Andy, you have blessed me so greatly by nominating me for this award, thank you so much. I am honoured that you consider me to be part of your WordPress Family, as I certainly consider you a huge part of mine – your visits, whether just popping in or leaving a comment, always bring joy to my day and a smile to my face 🙂 Your faith-filled stories bless me profoundly and I’m so glad we met here. I hope you don’t mind that I won’t be participating in sending the award on as I have already done so, but I will be sure to make mention in a post of your beautiful nomination. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas – and I absolutely love your background photo, it’s stunning – and I pray that 2015 brings you every blessing. God bless you my dear friend ~ Sherri 🙂

  8. What a beautiful place you’ve created here Andy! I adore it. This year, it’s been absolutely great to get to know you. I appreciate the award because it is nice to have a family of people here, especially ones you can bounce ideas off. I really appreciate the feedback you’ve given me in the past. It’s been most helpful, especially when it comes to assisting others. My daughter is still in town, so I’ve not been active these last couple of weeks, but I will post some nominees in the near future.
Have a most blessed and joyful New Year, and many more writing adventures!

  9. Congrats, Andy. This one does seem to stand apart. Though I agree with the award-free nature of your blog. I don’t accept them either because they eat into my blogging schedule and take up sidebar real estate that should be for resources.

  10. congrats on the award and I can see why you accepted that one – very nice! 🙂 ❤
and also like the new look of your blog – happy new year to you! and I know a few of the blogs you nominated, but will have to try and make time to check out the ones I do not know – cos I think another nice thing about the awards is the way it also showcases a few blogs that a person nominates (but too many awards can get tiring – so I like how you have been selective) – have a great week!
