“O LORD my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me.”

(Psalms 30:2 NKJV)

A good friend, and fellow blogger, in the UK is in need of our prayers. She writes a blog called: themaskthatgrins.wordpress.com. I had not heard from her in several months and I received this email this morning:

“Thank you, ANDY, for checking on me.  Although I have not written about certain things, this may puzzle you. But my sister, is years senior, has just been diagnosed with cancer. She has weeks, days, and months to live. She went to Accident and Emergency we call it A&E (ER in the US) because her legs were swollen. They told her she had terminal cancer. God must be speaking to you because this has come at the right time, thank you.

Again, I am sorry I have not been blogging, but I lost my job four weeks ago. Now I am gonna lose my only sister. I am emotionally drained, speechless, and so very sad. Christmas for me is cancelled, I’m so sad right now. Thanks all the Same

Will keep in touch.  God blessings, ok.

B.

Please lift her and her sister up to the Father in your prayers. Feel free to write her with  your prayerful support as well!

God Bless!

“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him,

anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.”

 (James 5:14-15)

  1. Christmas must not be cancelled; now is not the time to turn away from God. I have a friend who is very concerned about an abnormal neurological test result, and with my promise to remember her in prayer I reminded her of this passage: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. —Isaiah 41:10

I will include your friend in my prayers as well … urge her to be not discouraged, but rejoice in the Lord.

    God Bless you Andy.

    • I do not know why but your comment went to my spam folder on WP and I am just finding it. Please forgive me that I did not find it sooner. Thank you for your comment and for your scripture reference to Isa. 41:10. We can always claim God’s promise to us. You are a blessing my friend. I pray you and your family will have a great 2015. Thank you again for your prayers and I pray your friend came through her test with positive results.
      Andy

  2. Lord Jesus we ask in Your Name that Your healing power go forth to this family. Intervene in their behalf. Touch the Mother and the daughter. We ask for employment for necessary provisions.
We ask that a spirit of joy to replace the sadness . Thank you Lord

  3. Sending prayers and healing peace to your friend and her family for the struggles they are in and prayers for you as well as you walk this path with your friend. Blessings to you. You are a good friend. ~Matthew

  4. Sending prayers Andy, for your friend and our fellow blogger!!! I know God will hold her warmly in his hands, even if she may not be able to feel it at the moment… His love surrounds us, even when things happen that feel so bad. One of the most difficult things is to ask for His help in handling difficult situations. When you hear the doctor tell you that you’ve got cancer, your heart usually stops and freezes for a moment in time. (I remember) I pray for His blessings of no pain and for the family to know that they will now have a Guardian Angel to watch over them as well as Jesus. My heart is with your friend ❤

    • Thank you Jacqui, Your prayers joined with so many others is so powerful. None of us know how we would respond in this situation but we have a great and loving Father, and a great and loving family in brothers and sisters like you. Blessings!

  5. I pray that our Lord touches you, Andy, and comforts you and your sister during this time and shows you His wonderful face. I pray that He lifts you and strengthens you to carry your burdens and that you come to know in the core of your being that joy and suffering are part of the same wholeness of love that is our Lord.

  6. Sending prayers of healing and light. I was recently reminded by a friend, even in the midst of struggle and sorrow it is important to remember this is not our true home. We each of us come here but for a short season. Our true home, in God, is eternal.

    Blessings,

    K’lee

  7. Good afternoon all. I just logged on. I am touched that so many people have take the time out for me. I am going through a very tough time at the moment, I guess it means more chapters for my blog. I was angry with God. But I’m ok now, especially as I have got over the initial shock. I know I will need all the strength when and if the time comes. She has ovarian cancer which was caught too late. I know Lazarus was risen after four days. And I’m clinging to faith, if God still calls her home then I pray he will give me the strength to carry on. The pain in my stomach is indescribable. But nevertheless, I hope to be back blogging soon. My Freind Andy thank you I appreciate this more than you can imagine. God bless all

    • Thank You Renee! We all share this life as brothers and sisters, here, and it is our duty to cover each other in prayer to the Father when there is a need. Blessings to you and your family this CHRISTmas season and in New Year! Andy

  8. This woman will be remembered in my prayers. My Dad is in the hospital right now, with docs ruling out several things. I am just at this moment waiting for a call letting me know what is going on. He is out of state. (((HUGS))) Amy
